# Social media assets

## Worked example (fictional)

For a fictional event, create one square announcement and one vertical story. Check the date, venue and safe area at phone size before adapting additional formats.

## Limitations

The format catalogue is a reference, not a current platform guarantee. You still need an editor or image-production tool.

Start with the post someone will see on their phone. Can they read it? Is the crop doing anything useful? Does the date survive when the image gets small? Settle those questions before making twenty sizes.

These layouts cover posts and profile images across several channels. The green areas are placeholders for your artwork. Choose the channels you need, check their current specifications, and build the editable versions in your own design app.

1. Choose the formats in your brief and check the destination requirements.

2. Gather the approved copy, brand files, and licensed images. Use the production prompt as a checklist or paste it into your assistant.

3. Keep editable masters in your design app. Export the files, open them, and review the actual result before publishing or sending it to a supplier.

### Review the work with partners

Name the version, say what changed, and ask the question you need answered. Keep feedback with that version and discuss conflicting requests before making the next changes. Confirm approval separately, and keep confidential work in a restricted space.
